A 74-year-old woman drowned this morning when she was bathing on the beach of La Llosa in Cambrils (Tarragona), where the green flag was waving since the sea was calm.
As reported by Civil Protection in a statement, the body of the woman, a German national, was found by a bather floating face down in the waters of La Llosa beach at around 11:40 this morning.
The beach lifeguard service has rescued the woman and has started the maneuvers to revive her, which have subsequently been continued, although without success, by the troops of the two units of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) displaced to the scene of the accident.
The drowning has mobilized the Mossos d’Esquadra and the Civil Guard, which has taken over the investigation into the death of the bather.
