In this series of images in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see how the Sau reservoir and the meander of the Ter have changed in a few weeks.
The latest rains have once again transformed the landscape in the reservoir and its surroundings when compared to the images of the months marked by the harshest drought. The reference is the Romanesque church of Sant Romà.
Here we can see a comparison of images of the Sau reservoir exactly three months apart, on March 18 and today, June 18.
We can see the image of March 18 when it was at 6%, a dry and desolate landscape like a desert.
Today there is still a lack of water but it is at 22% and we can see a green landscape. Images for hope of this place on the river Ter, with this swamp in the middle of the Guilleries, surrounded by ridges.
The meander of the Ter is beginning to return to normal. We can see it in this comparison of images that shows how it is now and how it was in April.
The Ter basin in Casserres already looks better, with the monastery of Sant Pere once again surrounded by water at the end of the Sau reservoir. This transformation attracts attention and ends up being immortalized by cameras.
