A seven-year-old boy has died after a support pillar fell on him while he was playing in a country house, located in a rural part of Sax (Alicante), as confirmed by the Civil Guard in a statement.

The accident occurred this Tuesday in a country house in a rural part of Sax, when the child allegedly fell on top of him and crushed a supporting pillar of the house, while he was playing.

The minor, of Spanish nationality, was transferred by the family to the General University Hospital of Elda, where he finally died from being crushed.

The Civil Guard learned of the event this Tuesday, around 9:45 p.m., through the Elda National Police. The Judicial Police Team of the Civil Guard of Novelda is carrying out the Ocular Technical Inspection report to expand the details for its referral to the Court.
