Mossos d’Esquadra of the Investigation Unit of the Badalona police station arrested six people on Monday for various drug trafficking crimes. These arrests occurred within the framework of a operation against a drug sales point, located in several apartments and premises on Calderón de la Barca street in the Salut neighborhood of Badalona.

The entries and searches took place in two premises and two apartments on the same street, around four in the afternoon on March 25. The Investigation Unit of the Badalona police station was aware that this site was an active cocaine sales point.

In addition to the six arrests, in the four entries and searches, 53g of cocaine, almost 600g of hashish, 35g of methamphetamine, more than 12,000 euros in cash and about 40 dollars were seized. It was also possible to verify that all registered homes and premises had the electricity supply fraudulently connected to the network.

Members of Citizen Security, ARRO, the Subsoil Unit, who checked the sewers, and the Canine Unit participated in the device to locate the drugs.

The mayor, Xavier Garcia Albiol, through social networks expressed his satisfaction and support for the Mossos d’Esquadra, who carried out “a powerful action in the La Salut neighborhood with the logistical collaboration of the BAdalona Urban Guard.” The mayor declared that “I wish these operations were weekly” and stated that “we all have to put an end to the criminals and riffraff who believe they go unpunished.”
