The MotoGP riders are already rolling around the Assen circuit, where this weekend the Dutch GP is taking place, the eighth round of the world championship. Everyone will be watching Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia (Ducati Desmosedici GP23), current world champion and leader in the provisional standings for the 2023 MotoGP World Championship.

The Italian arrives in Assen with the aim of “consolidating” his position in the championship: “We reached the last race before the summer break, so before the second part of the season arrives, which will be very busy, we will try to consolidate our position”.

Bagnaia has plenty of motivation. In addition to being the undisputed leader of the MotoGP world championship, the TT Assen circuit is one of his favorites. “I even have it tattooed on my arm!” he reveals.

The one who does not intend to throw in the towel is Marc Márquez (Honda RC 213 V), for whom things are not going as expected this season. The Catalan suffered up to five falls during the previous German GP, ??but he assures that he arrives at Assen with the intention of pulling “effort and sacrifice”.

For the moment, in the first round of free practice, Bezzecchi’s dominance continues; Márquez finished in twenty-first position.

The classification of the MotoGP Netherlands GP will take place this Saturday, June 24, starting at 10:50 a.m. It can be seen on television on DAZN and can also be followed live through the La Vanguardia website.
