The first Distinguished Production House with the personalized selection and the La Boquería seal on its bottles is the Ximénez-Spínola winery from Jerez, with an edition of 423 bottles of brandy, which will be assigned upon express request and in whose selection both managers and directors have participated del Mercado, like the Morilla Vilà family, owner of the well-known stalls that bear his name, as well as the emblematic “Celler de la Boquería”.

Ximénez-Spínola is the Jerez-based winery of the Successors of Phelipe Antonio Zarzana Spínola, whose first documented export in notarial protocols dates from 1729, although no manuscripts related to its commercial activity are preserved in the winery until 1736 and about this varietal crop in particular. until 1752.

The circumstances of Ximénez-Spínola make it a unique winery in the entire framework of Jerez, since no other family with a winegrowing tradition has dedicated itself and continues to dedicate itself exclusively to the Pedro Ximénez grape, obtaining the recognition of the Spanish authorities. with the concession of the “Pedro Ximénez Varietal Denomination of Own Accreditation”.

Today Ximénez-Spínola, directed by José Antonio Zarzana, the ninth generation since the company was founded, is linked to the Andorran company A3A.
