The complaint made by Alejandro Baena, a Villarreal player, for the alleged aggression committed against him by the Uruguayan Fede Valverde, a Real Madrid footballer, has been provisionally dismissed by the magistrate of Madrid Investigating Court No. 48.
The reason that leads to this decision is that for the judge, as stated in the file order, “the commission of the crime that has given rise to the formation of the cause is not duly justified.”
The events denounced by the midfielder of the yellow team happened in the parking lot of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, after both teams met in a match corresponding to matchday 28 of LaLiga Santander that ended with the result of 2-3.
A few days ago, the sports instructor judge proposed to the Competition Committee of the Spanish Football Federation a sanction of five games for Valverde, which would make him be out at the start of the 2023-2024 season against Athletic Club de Bilbao, Almería and Celta de Vigo, the three away games with which Carlo Ancelotti’s team starts, plus the home games against Getafe and Real Sociedad.
In this way, he could not play in LaLiga until the Madrid derby against Atlético de Madrid at the Cívitas Metropolitano scheduled for the weekend of September 23/24.
