The month of June leaves 5,341 fewer unemployed on the unemployment lists of the Valencian Community. Overall, the number of people registered in the offices of the Public State Employment Service (SEPE) at the end of the month of June has decreased by 50,268 people (-1.84%), compared to the previous month, as reported by this Government Tuesday.

The drop in unemployment in the Region is 1.6%, slightly below the national average. In year-on-year terms, unemployment fell in the Valencian Community by 23,191 people, 6.65%, practically the same percentage as the state average, which is 6.66%. Of the 325,577 unemployed in the Community, 126,452 are men and 199,125 are women. A total of 19,952 are young people under 25 years of age.

By provinces, Alicante has 131,869 unemployed, Castellón with 34,738 and Valencia with 158,970. Where unemployment has fallen the most is in Castellón, with a variation of 2.36%.

Of the total, 19,952 are unemployed under 25 years of age, 10,492 men and 9,460 women.
