Good news continues to arrive regarding the health status of PSG goalkeeper Sergio Rico. The athlete left the ICU yesterday afternoon and is already on the floor, where his relatives can spend 24 hours a day with him.
The Sevillian suffered an accident with a horse on May 28 that left him sedated in critical condition for weeks. The goalkeeper was enjoying the pilgrimage in El Rocío, Huelva, when the mishap with the animal happened. The health professionals present requested a helicopter transfer to the Virgen del Rocío Hospital in Seville, where the doctors examined him and transferred to the family that Rico had suffered a head injury.
From that moment, everything became complicated. When the doctors began to remove the footballer’s sedation after a few days, he did not respond well and they had to put him back to sleep to monitor his health and prevent him from suffering damage.
After 22 long days in a coma and almost a month of anguish, the goalkeeper’s health improved and relatives and relatives began to see the light. A little over a week ago, Rico came out of a coma and began to communicate through gestures with his family.
His wife, Alba Silva, has not been separated from the Paris Saint-Germain player for a single moment. Despite the difficult moments and the little hope that there was on many occasions that her husband would recover from her, Silva was always positive and optimistic.
