A few days ago, the former television presenter and actor Ángel Garó uploaded a video to social networks that sparked controversy. In this audiovisual piece, Garó declared himself a “homosexual man of the right” and spoke badly of all those who voted for the left.
The former Big Brother VIP contestant, claiming that he is in a democracy and that he was going to say whatever came out of his soul, attacked Podemos and all those who wanted to turn Spain into a “social communist” country: “It makes me very funny that the owners of the LGTBI become. I am homosexual and I am right-wing. However, I see the injustice every day because I read, I study… the ‘social communism’ that we are experiencing at the moment seems tremendous to me”.
”I repeat that I am homosexual and to great honor, but I vote what must be voted. Stop so much leftist and communist crap that is going to lead us to ruin,” said Garó while he said how beautiful Venezuela is in an ironic tone and laughed with his friends.
The video generated a great deal of controversy on social networks, as many people felt offended by his words and wrote messages blaming his “retrograde” thinking. Instead, Garó also found a great wave of popular support that encouraged his ”courageous speech”.
The actor Willy Toledo, one of the few artists in our country who publicly positions himself on an endless number of political issues and who defines himself as “anti-fascist”, “atheist”, “anti-Zionist” and ”anti-racist”, he published a tweet commenting on an article in the newspaper El Mundo that included the statements made by Ángel Garó.
”I coincided two or three years with Garó in the same class at the theater school that we both attended. I can only say one thing: his talent, enormous, unique, was directly proportional to his love for money and power, “said the man from Madrid about the behavior of his partner.
The actor’s comment about Garó has started a wave of messages against the presenter that talk about all kinds of moments in his career: his stage in 1, 2, 3, his time as Big Brother VIP, etc.
”I met him in 1,2,3. Always accompanied by several stalwarts, he never related to anyone from the team and was always locked in his dressing room”, ”He was in a Big Brother and it was seen (in part) how enormously deranged he is” or ”I coincided with him working For a production company, he was invited to the program and I can assure you that he was the most despicable celebrity I have ever come across. If it wasn’t for his sister who was his representative, I don’t know how we would have ended up ” are some of the messages that can be read on Twitter.
