One man has died and two others have been injured, one of them seriously, in a head-on collision that occurred tonight between two cars at kilometer 2 of the M226 highway, in the Madrid municipality of Los Santos de la Humosa.
A spokesman for 112 Emergencies has told EFE that the accident took place around 11:00 p.m. when, apparently, one of the cars was crossed on the road and was hit from the side by the front of another car.
In the first of the cars were two men, about 50 years old, who were thrown out as a result of the impact and were on the road when the assistance arrived.
One of them had already died, as verified by the assistance from SESCAM and SUMMA112 who went to the place, and his companion seriously injured by a head injury, who was transferred to the Doce de Octubre Hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle involved, a 26-year-old man, was slightly injured and was transferred to the Príncipe de Asturias Hospital.
In addition to medical assistance, the Community of Madrid Fire Department and the Civil Guard, which is investigating the event, intervened.
