In the exercise of comparative photography, the Sau reservoir overcomes the drought, if we see what it looks like now and compare it with three months ago.

But, the comparisons are odious and if we see how the reservoir was more than ten years ago we will see that at that time it was quite full, to the point that almost the entire church of Sant Romà de Sau was submerged in water. Today, it is all in sight.

In these comparative images from April 10 and today July 8, you can see the great rise in the level of the Sau reservoir, from 6% to 32%. This meander of the Ter belongs to the municipality of Les Masies de Roda, in the Osona region.

It is still at a very low level for these dates, but it is that April 10 was alarming and devastating, as can be seen in these photographs in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia.

The images were captured in the meander of the River Ter that leaves the monastery of Sant Pere de Casserres in the center of the peninsula and today this area is once again the Sau reservoir.

The Sau reservoir is gradually filling up and the greenery of the landscape is fantastic, but we can see to what extent it was flooded 14 years ago with this photograph of the tip of the bell tower of the Romanesque church of Sant Romà.

The Sau reservoir looked magnificent this morning, especially if we compare it with the Susqueda reservoir, which is where the drought is now noticeable. For example, we see it on the Querós bridge.
