In The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can see how the sun rises over the Portixol with the rough sea, somewhat stirred, in L’Escala, honoring the name of the Costa Brava.
El Portitxol beach can be accessed on foot from the Empúries promenade, very close to the entrance to the archaeological museum.
What attracts the most attention is the Portitxol arch. In fact, there are those who fear that, one day, with these blows from the sea, especially the strongest and most virulent ones, it will end up breaking.
This natural stone arch, known as Portitxol, is touching the beaches of Empúries. The surroundings are spectacular, with a beautiful viewpoint of the bay of Roses, the coast of Empúries and the urban center of L’Escala.
In this location you can enjoy the image of the sun embedded in the arch and, at the same time, see how the fury of the sea evolves, beating against the rocks of the coast.
