An agent of the Civil Guard, who was off duty, has rescued from the water a child who was floating upside down in the Moraleja river park (Cáceres) to which he had allegedly fallen after receiving an electric shock from a cable that gave current to a motor of the aquatic bouncy castles installed in the area.
The events took place last Sunday afternoon in the river park in the town of Moraleja, where children’s play activities were taking place, specifically in the natural pool.
An off-duty agent, who was on the scene, did not hesitate to jump into the water to rescue a small child who had fallen into the river and was floating face down. At that moment, when removing it from the water, the agent received an electric shock.
The boy was unconscious, apparently due to the electric shock he had suffered. Both the agent and the child had to be transferred to the Coria Hospital, where they have been recognized by health personnel.
It also indicates that a girl who was next to the minor suffered another discharge, apparently when she touched the child after falling into the water.
As indicated by the Civil Guard in a press release, a cable that gave power to a motor of the bouncy castles could have been the trigger for the electric shocks.
In addition, another man who was in the place and who disconnected the cable from the plug, had to be treated at the local health center, after suffering another discharge.
The Territorial Team of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Coria investigates these facts to try to clarify what happened.
