The singer Zayn Malik has spoken for the first time about his alleged fight with Yolanda Hadid, mother of his ex-partner and mother of his daughter, Gigi Hadid. The row occurred in 2021 and Malik did not deny the charges he made when he was accused of pushing his ex-mother-in-law while they were arguing.
Malik has broken his silence on Alex Copper’s podcast, Call Her Daddy, and has explained his relationship with Gigi, mother of his young daughter Khai. “We have a very good relationship because of Khai, she is the most important thing, so she is doing well,” he explained.
Zayn has not been able to avoid talking about it and has stated that “they are family problems. If something happens in the family, I prefer to keep it within the family.”
However, the one who was a member of ‘One Direction’, has not been able to talk about the conflict he had with Yolanda Hadid and for which he denounced him accusing him of an alleged assault. The lawsuit went ahead and the court agreed with Gigi’s mother, so Zayn was sentenced to 90 days of probation and had to follow a program of gender violence.
Despite the sentence he had to serve, Zayn Malik has clarified that if the fight had been as serious as rumored, he would not have gotten joint custody of his daughter. “I am very complete, practical with my daughter whenever I can,” adding that “if I could get 60 percent custody, I would.”
Likewise, the artist has made it clear that he does not like to get involved with what is said about him on the networks. “I don’t usually get involved whether it’s something that has to do with me or not. Because for me, the most valuable thing I have in life is time.”
