Arsenal announced this Saturday the signing of Declan Rice, a 24-year-old English international, after agreeing a historic transfer with West Ham, as both clubs have announced throughout the day.

British press sources report that the final offer from Arsenal that West Ham has accepted after complicated and lengthy negotiations is 105 million pounds, about 120 million euros, including incentives.

A figure that not only represents a record for a transfer in English football but also makes Rice, one of the most promising players on the islands, the most expensive English player in history, surpassing Jack Grealish, for which Manchester City paid 115 million euros to Aston Villa.

“He is a player with tremendous ability who has been playing at a very high level in the Premier League and in the English national team for several seasons,” Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta said in a statement from the Gunner club.
