Pedro Sánchez, president of the Government and candidate for the general elections, had scheduled an interview this Friday on the program ‘Espejo Público’, presented by Susanna Griso on Antena 3, as one of his last commitments before taking his summer vacation.
The objective was to discuss their electoral program ahead of the elections on Sunday, July 23. However, the meeting was canceled at the last minute, citing scheduling problems, which was not well received by the presenter.
With a touch of irony, Susanna Griso criticized the cancellation at the end of the program on Thursday, July 20, showing her annoyance at the political party’s decision. An audio of Pedro Sánchez himself was even played saying “there I was wrong”, to which the presenter commented that the cancellation had been made well in advance and that it could have been managed better.
The situation did not end there, since through her social networks, Susanna Griso continued to express her dissatisfaction with the absence of Pedro Sánchez in her program.
Despite this, the host remained active and committed to the information coverage of the general elections, conducting interviews with other candidates such as Santiago Abascal, Yolanda Díaz or Alberto Núñez Feijóo. The latter even suffered a small incident on the set that was taken with humor.
Thus, the expected interview with Pedro Sánchez did not come to fruition, leaving a bitter taste for the presenter and her audience, who expected to learn more about the candidate’s proposals in the morning slot of Antena 3.
“I was going to tell them that tomorrow morning they could enjoy the interview with Pedro Sánchez, but… well no. It won’t be possible. He has schedule problems, they call him ‘schedule’,” Griso assured.
