In these photographs in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see Sant Pere de les Preses with the cumulonimbus behind, in Les Preses, region of La Garrotxa.

Sant Pere de les Preses is the parish of the most populated nucleus of Les Preses. The church was built in the 18th century, it is neoclassical in style and has two bell towers, as we see in these images.

On this occasion, the decoration of its external environment was marked by this cumulonimbus cloud in the distance. Les Preses also has the churches of Sant Miquel del Corb and Sant Martí.

Cumulonimbus clouds are spectacular. They are of great vertical development, internally formed by a column of warm and humid air that rises in the form of a rotating spiral.

Its base is usually less than 2 km high while the top can reach 15 to 20 km high.
