In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see this sequence of how the crescent moon sets in the Remei neighborhood, in Vic.
El Remei is located southwest of Vic, being the most populated neighborhood in the city. Two days ago the moon was new and now it is growing.
The crescent moon responds to the first appearance of the moon in the sky two days after the new moon has occurred. It receives this name because the illuminated portion is increasing with the passing of the days.
As a curiosity, it should be noted that, in the northern hemisphere, the right side of the moon appears illuminated, while in the southern hemisphere it is the left side.
The first image shows us how the Remei church accompanies the moon.
In this other photograph we see how the thread of the moon hides on the horizon.
In this other snapshot we see the moon with a part of the Remei church.
In the last image we see a sequence of the moon thread until it hides on the horizon.
