It is common for brands to choose relevant and famous people as ambassadors for their firm. And this is also done by car companies. For example, the current best tennis player in the world, Carlos Alcaraz, is linked to BMW, while the FC Barcelona goalkeeper, Marc ter Stegen, or the Barça soccer player Alexia Putellas are part of the Cupra tribe. The tennis player Rafa Nadal has been the image of Kia for about two decades, which has now also incorporated Ana Boyer, daughter of Isabel Preysler and sister of Tamara Falcó.

Thus, the car brand has given her a vehicle that she has chosen herself. The model in question is the recently launched electric EV6 GT. “I have chosen the EV6 thinking about my children. On the one hand, I wanted a car with the highest level of safety and that was spacious for the family. And on the other hand, I was very clear that my next car had to be electric, because when you are a mother you think about the world that you are going to leave to your children”, explained the wife of athlete Fernando Verdasco.

During the key handover, the president of Kia Iberia, Emilio Herrera, highlighted that “Ana has been very interested in technical aspects of the car, she wanted to know exactly how the EV6’s driving assistance and advanced safety systems work; and also many aspects of its consumption, energy performance, recharging and operation of the applications”.

The Kia EV6, chosen Car of the Year in Europe 2022, is an electric SUV that measures 465 centimeters long, 189 cm wide and 154 cm high. With a wheelbase of 2.90 meters, it offers a spacious cabin for five occupants and a 480-liter boot (there is also a 20-liter hole under the hood that allows you to store the charging cables).

The GT version that Boyer has chosen is the one that offers the highest performance in the range and is distinguished by mounting specific bumpers, 21-inch wheels, a rear aerodynamic deflector and an exclusive diffuser, among other elements. The interior also has finishes that highlight its sporty character.

This car is powered by two electric motors, which are mounted one on each axis; hence it has all-wheel drive. The front develops 218 CV, while the rear delivers 367 CV (total power is 585 CV). For its part, the maximum torque is also high, reaching 605 Nm. The EV6 GT is the fastest Kia ever. With a top speed of 260 km/h, it can accelerate to 100 km/h from a standstill in just 3.5 seconds.

In terms of autonomy, this car incorporates a 77.4 kWh battery that, with an approved average consumption of 20.6 kWh per 100 km, allows it to travel 427 kilometers. Thanks to its 800 volt recharging system, it can be recharged from 10 to 80% in 18 minutes. In addition, it has the V2D function that allows the energy stored in the car battery to be used to power external devices or to charge another electric vehicle when necessary.

Emilio Herrera has assured that “we are delighted to have such a committed ambassador and who values ??so much the work that Kia has done on the EV6 to facilitate the transition to electric mobility”. In addition to the young daughter of Isabel Preysler and Miguel Boyer, the brand also has other ambassadors such as Olympic medalist Sandra Sánchez and actress Carolina Cerezuela.
