Powdered beer is now a fact. A German company has turned this ingenious idea into reality with the aim of reducing the environmental footprint and minimizing the carbon emissions generated by transportation and the water needed for its manufacturing.

The researchers at the Kloster-Bräu company are responsible for this innovative beer powder, dedicating two years of exhaustive research to develop a final product ready for launch on the market.

This team of professionals has achieved this new beer using “a special technology that allows the creation of water-soluble beer granules, as if it were a Colacao sachet,” they explain in a video from the @directopaladar account on TikTok.

At the moment it is a non-alcoholic drink, since they have not managed to transfer this element from the original drink to the powder solution. It is planned to be marketed first in different countries in Africa and Asia, but the possibility of also selling it in Europe is being considered.

A new, more sustainable beer, which avoids the use of glass and reduces the carbon footprint and whose first tastings have been “satisfactory”. Now we just have to know if this drink will appeal to consumers and become a revolution.
