The Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Valencia requests a five-year prison sentence for a man who insulted and humiliated his trans roommate and her partner, threatening them with burning down the house and uttering expressions such as “shitty faggot”.

This is clear from the tax classification, to which the Europa Press agency has had access, in which the public prosecutor, together with the prison sentence, demands for the accused distance from the victims for a period of six years, the payment of a fine and, as civil liability, indemnify a policeman with 200 euros for injuries and the humiliated couple with 3,000 euros for non-material damage.

The prosecutor in charge of the procedure, Susana Gisbert, attributes to the defendant a continuous crime of threats, a crime of attacking law enforcement officers, a minor crime of injury and a crime against moral integrity with the aggravating circumstance of discrimination.

The events date back to March 15, 2023, when the accused shouted at his roommate and tried to assault her while saying, to him and his partner, that he was going to kill them and burn down their house. In addition, he used expressions such as “shitty faggot” at one of them when he was a partner of the transsexual woman.

In the course of this discussion, the police arrived at the house and while an agent intervened to prevent the attack, he was attacked by the defendant, who punched him in the nose, causing injuries that required no more than first aid.

He harassed the young woman by telling her that she was making a fool of herself and laughing at the appearance she had after undergoing the sex change operation. Likewise, she displayed a knife on numerous occasions to intimidate the woman and her partner.
