He also suffered “a blunt injury to the second finger of the left hand with a comminuted fracture (in which the bone breaks into two or more fragments) of the middle phalanx, with severe soft tissue trauma and also injury to the collateral artery radial and pulley A2”, according to the medical report signed by Dr. Enrique Crespo and to which Efe has had access.
The Cordobés has been overwhelmed in the capotero salute to his first bull, from Salvador Domecq’s ranch, which has cradled him against the boards for a few long and agonizing seconds. He was quickly taken to the infirmary, from where he did not come out again.
