The Urban Guard of Lleida has arrested last morning the arsonist who in the last two nights has set fire to some thirty containers in the neighborhood of La Bordeta and on Príncep de Viana street in the city, a minor who has been caught “red-handed” when he started another fire.
The Lleida City Council has informed this Sunday that the fires that this Saturday affected around twenty containers, a parked vehicle and the façade of a building are attributed to the young man, and eight other fires in containers that he has caused tonight, one of which has hit a parked car.
The detainee is a minor from La Bordeta, a resident of La Bordeta, who was traveling on a scooter to start the fires and who this morning was surprised by a police patrol when he was throwing a lit piece of paper into a container on Hostal de la Bordeta street.
The consistory reinforced surveillance in the area on Saturday to be able to locate and arrest the arsonist.
