A minor has died and ten people have been injured this Wednesday night after an accident between four cars on the AP-7 near Roda de Berà (Tarragona), as reported by the Servei Català de Trànsit ( SCT) in a statement this Thursday.
In the accident, a seriously injured man and woman were taken to the Juan XXIII hospital in Tarragona; four people were slightly injured and transferred to the Vendrell hospital (Tarragona), and another four people were treated and released ‘in situ’.
The Mosssos d’Esquadra received the notice at 9:12 p.m. and the road was closed to the north until 10:35 p.m., when a lane was opened to traffic with 5 kilometers of queue and the situation returned to normal at 12:45 a.m.
The police forces sent eight patrols to the place, where four endowments of the Generalitat Fire Department and 13 land units of the Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) also attended, which also activated two teams of psychologists.
With this death there are already 99 deaths in traffic accidents this 2023 on the interurban roads of Catalonia, according to provisional data from the SCT.
