The Nits de Circ circus show premiered last night in La Ciutadella de Roses, where it will continue with its performances until August 23. It is the continuation of the first performances of his summer production, which were held in the Molí de Besalú gardens last week. A large open circular grandstand, with individual seats, with a capacity of 1,250 spectators, surrounds the concentric track, where the magic will take place, which will be accompanied by live music, by the Paris Circus Orchestra. Twenty-four artists from eleven different countries participate in the third edition of Nits de Circ, offering nine varied attractions during an hour and a half show.
After the success of the two previous editions, which added a total of more than 21,000 spectators, the production of the private non-profit cultural entity, Circus Arts Foundation, has once again presented this show in two different stages: it offered four performances in the Molí de Besalú and in Roses there will be eight.
The foundation, Circus Arts Foundation, “which was born in 2011 with the aim of dignifying the circus and claiming it as an integral part of our culture”, has taken advantage of another year, the annual break, which some of the biggest performers in the middle of their tour traveling circuses, to bring together a selection of the main figures of the world’s great circuses such as Arlette Gruss, Bouglione, Knie or Krone.
The mime of the Catalan Eric Boo with his comic show Comicitat, the Chinese double mast jumps or human pyramids of the seven members of the Kazakh acrobat collective, Troupe Hassak, or the Ecuadorian acrobat couple formed by Rony Navas and John Sergio Cordoba, icons in the highest risk disciplines, are some of the outstanding attractions that are part of the show.
