ACS has been awarded, together with other contractors, the construction in Nashville of the future stadium for the Tennessee Titans football team for 2,100 million dollars (1,930 million euros), consolidating itself as one of the main builders of this type of infrastructure in United States.

The contract was announced yesterday by the local public authority, the Metropolitan Sports Authority, after its council meeting to select the proposals. Unanimously, he opted for the consortium that had recommended the NFL team.

The American subsidiary of ACS, Turner, goes along with Aecom and two local companies with a project in which emphasis is placed on the experience of the public, with more isolated seats in some cases and a variety of prices to cover 62,000 seats.

Turner and his partner Aecom have raised the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and 16 other buildings of this type in the United States for 5,500 million euros. In one way or another, the subsidiary of the Spanish group has participated in 17 of the 30 most recent NFL stadium construction or remodeling projects.

Together with their building partners, they have now formed the Tennessee Builders Alliance (TBA). “The knowledge they provide is second to none,” says the president and CEO of the Titans, who highlights companies’ ability to innovate and offer customized solutions.

The new stadium will be built next to the current one and will have a translucent circular roof, panoramic exterior views of the city and ample space for shops and events. “It will be a reference,” says TBA project manager John Gromos.
