A 57-year-old man has been arrested by the Elche Local Police accused of testing positive for drugs in a police control and for threatening to kill and assaulting the agents.
The police force, which has reported today the event that occurred on July 19, has explained that agents were carrying out random checks when they observed a vehicle that, upon seeing the police presence, braked abruptly, reversed and parked.
After that, the agents approached the vehicle and, after detecting an evasive attitude from the driver, they carried out a drug detection test, giving positive results for various types of substances, for which they immobilized the vehicle.
At that moment, the driver threatened the agents: “You are not going to take the car because I don’t feel like it, I’m going to fix this with a gun and when I see you on the street I’m going to shoot you”, said the driver.
Thus, one of the agents tried to calm him down, explaining again the reason for the immobilization, but the driver slapped one of the officers in the face, breaking his glasses, forcing the agents to reduce the man, who did not However, he caused minor injuries to other police officers due to his active resistance.
The 57-year-old man was arrested and taken to police stations.
