Today, Barcelona City Council has started the summer campaign to register infants in the casals and summer camps. At 9 in the morning the registration process opened, where the website to carry out the procedures has collapsed for about three hours due to a technical incident. The service has currently been restored.
The program offers 360,268 places to be distributed among 270 entities and a total of 1,087 activities. In addition, the council will invest 5.1 million euros to cover scholarships for economic or personal reasons.
The T’estiu molt program includes several recreational activities within a sports and teaching framework. The range of proposals includes camps, cultural stays outside Catalonia, performing arts workshops, English courses or sports clubs, among others.
The activities aimed at minors between 1 and 17 years old will last from June 22 to September 6, to adapt to the start of the school year.
Likewise, the works of the Pla Clima Escola of the 24 educational centers will not affect the development of activities. During the summer, the first phase will be carried out, with the installation of photovoltaic panels. The works will only affect the activity of 9 of the 24 authorized centers. Currently, the Consorci d’Educació de Barcelona is looking for a new location for its activities.
