The emergency services have rescued the lifeless body of a man who had fallen this past Monday with a quad off a cliff in the Malaga municipality of Estepona, as reported by the Emergency 112 Andalucía system, a service attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification of the Board.
Telephone 112 received at 5:50 p.m. this past Monday a distress call alerting of a man who had fallen with a quad off a cliff of about 20 meters near the Velerín Alto fountain, in an area that was difficult to access, and they were requesting rescue and urgent healthcare. From the coordinating room, the Provincial Fire Consortium, the Health Emergency Center 061, the Civil Guard and the National Police were activated.
Members of the Mountain Rescue and Intervention Group (Greim), as well as the Estepona Civil Protection, mobilized by 112, have also traveled to the site.
Members of the Estepona and Greim Firefighters participated in the rescue efforts that lasted until night. The operations at the scene could only confirm the death of a 54-year-old man, without further information being revealed about the circumstances surrounding this event.
