Espanyol took the three points at the Anduva stadium this afternoon against an orderly Mirandés who put up a very serious game in defense but barely had any chance of scoring. Luis García’s team was the one who arrived with the most danger without making Luis López, the local goalkeeper, suffer much. Almost all the parakeet danger came from Melamed’s boots on the left flank. The goal came already in the second part through Jofre.

The clearest chance of the first half came very soon, in the first minute. A run by Lazo ended up in a cross to the far post, where Pere Milla appeared to finish off the post.

With a midfield made up of Pol Lozano, Keidi Bare and Melamed, Espanyol managed the game. Mirandés played comfortably behind and looked for quick transitions looking for the back of the blue and white defense.

Espanyol came close to scoring again with a shot from outside the area by Kedi Bare that brushed the crossbar and then with a failed header from Melamed.

The only chance for the locals in the first half came at 41 through Alcedo who finished off with his left foot and missed Pacheco’s goal.

The second half began without a change of players and in the first minute Pol Lozano was charged with a yellow card.

Keidi Bare had the goal in minute 54 and his shot, with everything in his favour, went high. Luis García did not wait any longer and brought on Salvi for Lazo. Right away it was Pere Milla who was able to open the scoring.

Espanyol commanded so much that he ended up scoring at 57 in a cross shot by Jofre that surpassed Luis López’s stretch. Jofre played on loan at Mirandés last season.

Mirandés reacted with a triple change, but the fate of the game did not change. Puado replaced Jofre and the game entered a phase of interruptions Gragera and Expósito entered. Espanyol did not suffer to retain the victory. He has seven points out of nine, a good start.
