The Department of Territory of the Generalitat has tendered the works to complete the dismantling of the old toll areas of the C-32 north (in the Maresme) and the C-33 (in the Vallès Oriental) for an amount of about 5.2 million euros. The works will give continuity to the action that was already carried out in the central lanes as a result of the completion of the concessions of these motorways. The actions will begin at the beginning of 2024 and will last for five months.

The projected works consist mainly of the dismantling of the canopies and other elements of the toll areas that remain on the C-32 north and C-33, both on the trunk and on the sides, and the restoration of the necessary roads, in both directions of traffic.

Specifically, the toll areas included are the side of the Arenys de Mar, Alella, Premià, Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, Sant Vicenç de Montalt, Santa Susanna toll roads and the Vilassar and Arenys de Mar trunk roads, as well as Mollet .

The works will include the demolition of all the blocks that make up the toll roads or lanes, as well as the security barriers, toll booths and existing equipment and facilities. Likewise, the new roads that have been projected will be adapted and paved, the drainage elements will be adapted and the signage, beacons and safety barriers will be placed.

The landscaping adaptation of the released areas and the implementation of new uses in the old trunk toll plazas will be the subject of other projects that are currently under study.

As a result of the completion of the tolls of the C-32 north and C-33, the Territory Department carried out between the summer and autumn of 2021 the dismantling of the canopies and other elements in the central lanes of the Vilassar de Dalt, Arenys and Santa Susanna, from the C-32 and C-33 in Mollet del Vallès. The works had a budget of five million euros.
