The Local Police of Pineda de Mar (Maresme) completed an outstanding intervention last Friday, March 29. This is the arrest of an individual who was subject to a European arrest warrant and who, through false identity and false documentation, had settled in the municipality.
The search and arrest warrant had been processed from Germany, a country from where the justice system is demanding him for belonging to a criminal organization dedicated to crimes against property. During the identification process and the notification of the arrest to the Mossos d’Esquadra, the Catalan police force verified that using his false identity he had also committed crimes in Catalonia, accumulating numerous records for crimes of the same type.
The history of crimes and the situation as a fugitive from justice led him to reside in Pineda de Mar, where he had been living discreetly for a short time, only to be disappeared by the police forces.
