Users of the A-3 motorway who were traveling this Monday at kilometer 320 in the direction of Valencia witnessed how a bull wandered between the vehicles after escaping due to an accident with the truck carrying the group of cattle. The accident, in which no one was injured, occurred at the highway exit, for unknown reasons.
The accident took place around 11:30 a.m., when the truck overturned on a curve in the road, according to sources from the Valencia Fire Department. Several cattle came to temporarily invade the road in the direction of Valencia, surprising the drivers and passengers of the nearby vehicles. Shortly after, the emergency teams deployed to the scene of the incident managed to remove them.
The incident caused the temporary interruption of traffic on the motorway towards the city of Valencia. During this time, some vehicle occupants took the opportunity to video capture the image of the bulls advancing between the cars after having escaped from the truck. Other cattle also managed to escape when the doors of the vehicle in which they were traveling were opened due to the impact, but they did not invade the main road.
The truck was carrying 40 bulls. Most of the animals were trapped inside the truck, as was the driver of the vehicle, who was freed from the cab by the medical personnel who traveled to the scene of the event. The man was then taken by ambulance to the Manises Hospital -about 30 kilometers from the accident site- with minor injuries. After being examined by health personnel, he was discharged.
The images recorded by highway users have been published on X (formerly Twitter) on the SocialDrive account. This collaborative platform of drivers spread a few days ago another dangerous situation on the road due to the presence of an animal. On that occasion, however, it was a bear that ran in front of a car on a conventional road, in the province of Palencia, and everything was frightened, since the animal left the road climbing up the hillside.
Luckily, the drivers of the vehicles that were held up on the A-3 saw how the bull moved on the asphalt without causing human or material damage. The rest of the calves that managed to escape from the truck jumped into the fields surrounding the highway and were watched by veterinarians.
The company that transported the animals sent a truck to re-box the cattle. Likewise, the firefighters were in charge of neutralizing a diesel leak that had spread along the road when the truck overturned. Until the operation was fully controlled, the highway recorded four kilometers of traffic jams between kilometer points 318 and 322.
At the end of July, a collision between a truck loaded with pigs, which overturned, and a car on the AP-7, near Santa Perpetua de Mogoda (Barcelona), forced the northbound highway to be cut, causing queues. up to 14 kilometers. Due to the accident, dozens of pigs invaded the road, which was cut off for several hours until the truck in the accident was removed from the road.
