In the midst of a charged political climate and an agenda full of commitments, the acting President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has made an unusual decision: to attend the Cala Mijas international indie music festival. This pause in his busy schedule, held on the eve of the start of the PSOE political course, shows that even in times of political uncertainty, there is always time for culture.

The Cala Mijas international indie music festival is an event held in Malaga that, in its second edition, has brought together more than 70 national and international bands and artists. And Sánchez wanted to share his experience and enthusiasm for him through a message on the social network X

In this publication, he highlighted the “great atmosphere” and the “good music” of the event, expressing his pride in the “cultural power of Spain”, a country that he considers to have “enormous musical talent”. He accompanied the message with several photos in which he appears with some of the participating artists and his wife, Begoña Gómez.

The presence of Pedro Sánchez in Cala Mijas thus becomes a statement in itself, highlighting the priority that culture, and especially music, has on the country’s political and economic agenda.

With their assistance, the president not only supports the cultural richness of Spain, but also reinforces the idea that music festivals are an integral part of Spain’s heritage and economic future.

The PSOE leader is in Málaga to participate in the opening ceremony of his party’s political course, which took place this Saturday, September 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the NH Málaga Hotel.

The event was held in a particularly delicate environment, as it is part of the negotiations for the investiture of the next Government
