The National Police have arrested the alleged perpetrator of the assault on a 46-year-old woman who was seriously injured this Saturday in a hotel located on San Bernardo street, in the Centro district.

The arrest of the 32-year-old man, of Spanish nationality, took place at the hotel. The agents received a call at 11:40 a.m. alerting that a woman was bleeding. The Family and Women’s Care Unit (UFAM) has taken charge of the case, police sources have informed Europa Press.

A spokeswoman for Madrid Emergencies has detailed to Europa Press that the woman had injuries to her neck, face and, above all, to her back, with a penetrating wound. Samur Protección has treated her in her room and, after being stabilized, she has been transferred to the San Carlos Clinical Hospital, with a serious prognosis.
