The National Police have arrested a man in Seville as the alleged perpetrator of the murder of a woman who, apparently, was his ex-partner and whom he allegedly slit his throat with a knife. According to sources from the investigation, the man, whose identity has not been released, was arrested when he was preparing a rope, apparently with suicidal tendencies.

The attacker and the victim had maintained a sentimental relationship and were currently ex-partners, so it could be a case of gender violence that, if confirmed, would be the 14th of this year in Andalusia and the third in Seville.

The National Police remains at the scene awaiting the removal of the body. The same sources have specified that the victim was not in the Comprehensive Monitoring System in cases of Gender Violence (Viogén).
