France Football released the 30 candidates for the men’s Ballon d’Or to be awarded on October 30, with Messi, Håland, De Bruyne and Mbappé as firm candidates. If the Argentine, winner of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, is awarded, it would be his eighth trophy. The current Inter Miami player also won the French league in 2023 with PSG.

Gündogan and Lewandowski from the Barcelona player list appear on the list of applicants. From the Madrid dressing room, the publication has included Vinícius, Modric and Bellingham, as well as Benzema, the current winner, who now plays for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

In the women’s Ballon d’Or, absent Alexia Putellas, winner of the last two editions, the great favorite is Aitana Bonmatí, who recently won the UEFA best player of the year award.

There are five other Barcelona fans on the list. They are Patri Guijarro, Mapi León, Salma Paralluelo, Rolfö and Oshoala, as well as the world champions with Spain Alba Redondo and Olga Carmona.

Ter Stegen is among the 10 Yashin candidates for the best goalkeeper. Balde opts for the Kopa award for the best young man, as well as Pedri and Gavi, the latest winners. Real Madrid player Bellingham is also up for the award.
