Bruce Springsteen postponed all his concerts scheduled for the rest of this month of September on medical recommendation after suffering a gastric ulcer, the musician confirmed this Wednesday in a statement released through his social networks.

“Mr. Springsteen is being treated for symptoms of a peptic (gastric) ulcer and the decision of his medical advisers is that he must postpone the rest of his September shows,” reads the text in which it is ensured that the artist known as The Boss needs the rest of the month off to undergo treatment.

The new dates for these shows, which have been canceled since the concert that Springsteen and the E Street Band had scheduled for this Thursday at the JMA Wireless Dome multipurpose pavilion in Syracuse (New York state), have not yet been specified.

The also composer already missed the shows he had scheduled in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 due to an illness which did not materialize then. Those concerts are expected to be held already next year.

The famous rocker’s statement ended with an apology and “heartbreak” for the postponement because both he and the band already “miss” their “fabulous fans” from the canceled concert in Philadelphia.

“We will return to resume these concerts and something else. Thank you for your understanding and support. (…) With love and God bless you all,” Springsteen settled, who had performed from August 30 to September 3 at the stadium MetLife in New Jersey with shows of up to three hours each.
