The dew has a special, artistic charm, in the cultivated fields of the lands of Lleida, as these photographs show in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia captured in the town of Tarròs.

Dew occurs when moisture in the air condenses in the form of droplets due to a sudden decrease in temperature or contact with cold surfaces.

Since air is in thermal equilibrium, the temperature of the air is also the temperature of the vapor and liquid water it contains.

The temperature at which the system is saturated is called dew point temperature. If the system reaches this temperature, and it is above 0 °C, then the formation of dew will be observed, for example, on the leaves of the plants.

El Tarròs is a locality incorporated since the middle of the 19th century in the municipality of Tornabous, in the Urgell region, where the dew drops show their most artistic aspect.
