The project to reform the new equipment of the Care, Recovery and Reception Service (SARA) has a budget of almost 1.77 million euros, which will be used to adapt a space of nearly 900 square meters.
Around 415 square meters will be allocated to women’s care spaces, where individual care rooms with acoustic insulation will be installed to guarantee privacy and areas for activities and group care. The workspace for the center’s staff will occupy about 340 square meters and will have offices, meeting rooms and an office.
It is expected that the works will begin at the end of summer 2024 and finish in September 2025, and that the service can be put into operation at the beginning of 2026.
What is the Care, Recovery and Reception Service (SARA)?
SARA is a municipal service providing specific attention to women, children and adolescents who experience situations of sexist violence. It also offers support to people in the immediate environment and advice to professionals linked to care in cases of sexist violence. The task of the service is carried out mostly with individualized and group attention interventions.
