High mountain cuisine and the vegan universe will be the stars of this weekend’s culinary festivals. The Andorra Taste, a conference dedicated to high-end gastronomy that this year will bring together renowned chefs such as Joan Roca, Gastón Acurio or Paolo Casagrande in Escaldes-Engordany, debuts its most popular face.

For a price of four euros, visitors will be able to try the preparations of around twenty Andorran restaurants that will offer dishes with local products, such as Andorran-style cod, tagliatelle with boletus or an Andorran beef steak tartare. In parallel, tastings and culinary demonstrations by participating chefs will be organized, as well as activities for children and musical performances.

Another of the weekend’s foodie events is the Vegan Fest Catalunya, which will celebrate its fourth edition in the Vallparadís park in Terrassa. Under the motto ‘Let’s Save the Earth’, this outdoor meeting organized by the Vegan Association of Catalonia proposes nearly 80 free activities that will be distributed throughout the different areas of the venue.

The main stage will be the Espai Còsmic, which will host talks and demonstrations by national and international chefs. There will also be a market for vegan products and a gastronomic space where 100% vegetable preparations will be offered. Some of the food establishments and brands participating in this meeting are Bungnuts, Mommus, Tonka, Tortiveg and Sonsu Chocolates.

On Sunday at 12 noon, the best vegan chef will also be chosen in the Vegan Chef Festival competition. Musical performances complete this meeting to which, according to its organizers, vegans and non-vegans are invited.
