Animals are generally intelligent living beings, although sometimes they make poor decisions that leave them in the most vulnerable contexts. This has been the case of a bear in León, whose head was trapped in a corn dispenser.

The animal was in the mountains of Anllares del Sil (León) when it approached a facility that had food. In order to satisfy its hunger, the bear put its head into the container, but was unable to remove it afterwards.

Luckily, the animal was seen by several neighbors in the area, who notified the authorities about what happened. A few minutes later, the Patrol of the Natural Heritage Foundation of the Junta de Castilla y León and the FOP Patrol went to the scene with a view to saving the bear.

As the Brown Bear Foundation has revealed on its movements. Fortunately, the work was carried out quickly and without incident, so the bear is safe and sound.

It is not the first time that a bear has been trapped in a most peculiar object. Just several weeks ago, a bear cub got stuck inside a plastic container, causing it to suffocate.

Fortunately, a professional was driving by the area when she decided to cautiously help the baby bear, grabbing the container as it flailed in resistance. Finally, the bear cub was free, breathing easily.
