The UD Las Palmas expedition had to travel in two groups to Seville because 15 of the players in the squad did not arrive in time to board the scheduled flight, as confirmed this Saturday by the island club in an official statement.

At 7:00 p.m. this Saturday, the footballers who remained on the ground will fly with a charter from the Binter company that has been improvised to ensure that the entire team sleeps tonight in the capital of Seville, the note adds.

The vice president of the entity, Nicolás Ortega, will lead this expedition, since the leader had planned to fly this Saturday, an hour later, to join the group tonight, but he will advance his departure to coincide with the straggler expedition members.

A total of 15 players and two physiotherapists missed the scheduled flight – according to the local newspaper Canarias7 they got lost while having a coffee – and when they arrived at the boarding gate they found that it was closed because the flight had already taken off.

The match between Sevilla and UD Las Palmas, corresponding to the fifth day of LaLiga EA Sports, will be played this Sunday at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium starting at 6:30 p.m. (peninsular time).
