Fermín Crespo has been appointed general director of the Projects for Digital Transformation Society, which has among its tasks the management of the Ciudad de la Luz cinema complex, the Digital District and activities related to the departure from Alicante of the international Ocean Race regatta.

A native of Elche by birth and vocation, a geographer by training, Crespo has developed a professional career closely linked to the media. His long career of two decades in the Alicante employers’ association Coepa, as Head of Press, Director of Communication and General Secretary, has allowed him to create and maintain close ties in the world of Alicante journalism and business.

In recent times, his work has been directed towards the areas of management, direction and strategy, and in 2016 he launched a consulting firm, ATAMA Responsible Strategy, specialized in strategy and communication (institutional, business and personal).

Previously, he worked in numerous media outlets, combining these activities with training and giving conferences and talks on issues related to protocol, communication, the economy and the development of the territory.

Very involved in the social and cultural life of his city and the province, he holds the presidency of the Alicante Provincial Board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC Alicante) and regularly collaborates with other entities such as the Defora Foundation, the Elche Civic Platform Think or the Germán Bernácer Economic Debate Forum. For eight years he was in charge of the Communications Directorate of the Misteri d’Elx Board of Trustees.

Crespo’s new position, which replaces Antonio Rodes, also from Elche, also involves the management of the works of the Benidorm cultural center and the Torrevieja music conservatory auditorium, among other projects.
