The Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) has completed works to improve the security and accessibility of the Muntanyeta (Sant Boi de Llobregat) del Besòs (Sant Adrià de Besòs) and Can Zam (Santa Coloma de Gramenet) parks. As reported by the metropolitan body, the investment has amounted to 1.4 million euros.
After the works, the parks are again “100% operational after a few months of interventions”, reported the AMB. The work has made it possible to “improve some paths, lighting, perimeter closures and incorporate areas for dogs,” he added. The investment has been financed by the AMB in collaboration with the city councils.
On the other hand, the AMB organizes 600 recreational proposals in metropolitan parks and beaches this fall. All are free and do not require prior registration, the institution explained in a statement.
Some of the new features of the season are the “incorporation of new equipment on Somorrostro beach and the implementation of the Bioblitz.” This last action will census the flora and fauna of the enclaves. Environmental toys are also launched and the bicycle service in some parks is expanded.
