After learning on Tuesday that the Prosecutor’s Office opposes requesting the removal of Daniel Sancho so that he can be tried in Spain for an alleged crime of injuries that occurred in 2019, the date of this trial has also been indicated. The oral hearing will take place on November 7 and, if everything goes as planned, Sancho will testify from prison in Thailand by videoconference, as reported by the radio station COPE.

The Public Ministry is asking Sancho for a year in prison for the facts and his lawyers had been trying to have the young cook delivered to Spain and thus avoid Thai prison. The lawyer wanted to use the matter that is pending in his country to be handed over, something that the Madrid Provincial Prosecutor’s Office has opposed.

The son of actor Rodolfo Sancho allegedly carried out an attack in 2019 in the middle of José Abascal Street in Madrid, in the sought-after district of Chamberí. According to the facts, the accused allegedly punched the victim, whose upper right incisor tooth he broke. The affected person also received five stitches according to the medical reports.

The declaration will take place at nine in the morning, two in the afternoon in Thailand. And the low prison sentence requested by the Prosecutor’s Office in this case could easily be commuted to a financial fine. Instead, Sancho faces the death penalty in Thailand for the premeditated murder of surgeon Edwin Arrieta on the island of Phagan. He is currently in pretrial detention awaiting trial in Samui prison since August 7.

There he has received multiple visits from his mother, Silvia Bronchalo, who has remained in the Asian country since the inmate has been able to receive visits. For his part, actor Rodolfo Sancho has also visited his son in Samui prison, but he has already returned to Fuerteventura with his current wife, actress Xenia Tostado.
