The Civil Guard has opened an investigation into a robbery at the La Alegría farm, in Bollullos de la Mitación (Seville), residence of Sevilla footballer Sergio Ramos, last Wednesday, September 20. Neither the player nor his wife, Pilar Rubio, were in the house, but his four children were inside with their caregivers.

This has been advanced by ABC and confirmed by Europa Press from sources at the Armed Institute. The assault, according to ABC, occurred a week ago while the Sevilla player was playing a Champions League match against French club Lens. His wife was away from Seville for professional reasons.

The thieves took luxury watches, jewelry, designer clothing and cash. This is not the first time that Sergio Ramos has been the victim of a robbery at his home. In 2012, thieves attacked his home in the Madrid neighborhood of Conde Orgaz, where the assailants could not take anything because both the soccer player and his brother René were inside.
