A private gastronomic workshop for subscribers at Cookiteca

On September 14, 20 lucky members of the Vanguardia Club attended a creative and educational event at Cookiteca.

A private gastronomic workshop specially designed for our subscribers who are fans of gastronomy and cooking, in which they enjoyed a combination of culinary learning and creativity.

Attendees began the evening with an initial aperitif upon arrival at Cookiteca and were then distributed into six groups. Four groups were made up of four people and were in charge of preparing the savory tapas that would later be part of the menu they would have for dinner. The other two groups, of two people each, were in charge of preparing the rice, and the other, the dessert.

Already with the apron on and under the guidelines of the Cookiteca chefs, the attendees immersed themselves fully in the preparation of the tapas. Each group had the ingredients to prepare the tapa on their kitchen table, but not the recipe, so they had to think about what they could make with the ingredients that had been provided to them. Some groups got it right, and others needed the help of the chefs.

They cooked mini cocas with zucchini, brie cheese and olive oil; shrimp and mushroom bags with cottage cheese sauce; shrimp skewers dipped in mango cream; caramelized meatballs in soy sauce; Iberian rice and a delicious mini cheesecake with red fruits. At the end, each group had to give a name to the cover they had made. One of the tapas was named ‘Swedish senyera’, since the color combination of the dish was reminiscent of senyera, and two of the group members were Swedish.

Subscribers enjoyed a fun evening, learning how to prepare all kinds of tapas with the charming chefs, who were also responsible for conveying the love in the plating of each of the tapas. A very educational, entertaining and fun workshop in which attendees brought out the chef within them.
