In this series of photographs in La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos we can see how Pedraforca is illuminated with the new day, with changes in light. They are images captured from Gisclareny, in Berguedà, and we can see them even better in this accelerated video.

In this sequence of photographs we see how the moon moves, with different tones of light, around Pedraforca along the mountainside until it disappears.

Pedraforca is one of the most emblematic mountains in Catalonia, located in the Sierra del Cadí, within the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park area.

Located on the border between the provinces of Barcelona and Lleida, it has a very peculiar shape due to its two peaks separated by a large hill.

Its best-known view is the one seen from its eastern slope. At the northern summit we find the Pollegó Superior peak, at 2506 meters high, and the Calderer peak, at 2505 meters high. The southern summit is made up of Pollegó Inferior, at 2445 meters high.
